Wash the green beans and clean. Break the pods into pieces and leave in cold water. Heat the oil in a saucepan, cook the finely chopped onion, add the chopped tomatoes or broth. Drain the water pods and put on top of the onion, season with salt and sugar. Cook the beans for 10-15 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon.
Add enough hot water to cover the beans with one finger. Put the lid on and let it boil until the water drops by half and soften the pods. At the end, add the crushed garlic, pepper flakes and chopped dill for flavor. This food, being with olive oil, is left to cool in the pan with the lid on.
